I use a ruler and a metric algorithm I saw in a dream to engineer my drawings. They're not drawn! The process is to do a mathematically correct outline. Then, I map out the geometrical shapes within the values of gray. The third phase is to bring everything to value and bring it to life. I've never had any formal training. I'm completely self-taught through dreams and visions on how to use these pencils and charcoal to make them look so real. They take an average of 600 hours and up to 2000 like the 'Earnie Shavers vs. Ali' drawing! Every project teaches me something new and how it applies to life and people in so many ways. Without the ruler and photograph, I can't draw to save my life either! I can sketch and design stuff, but drawing like this is not even possible.
I had this dream about 6 months before having surgery on my foot and back from injuries in the Air Force that changed my life forever. Now I've turned "Disabilities" into "Abilities," and the opportunities are coming in from everywhere! The better I get, the further I go and more I do!
